With a particular emphasis on pragmatic difficulties, the Communication Checklist—Self Report (CC–SR) is a self-report instrument for older children, adolescents, and adults with communication impairments. Following the same concept as the CC–A, the questionnaire can be used with individuals who speak in sentences and have a reading age of at least 10 years.

In order to circumvent lack of self-awareness, some items are rated based on the feedback received from other people (e.g. "People tell me that I talk too much").
