Use the TOAL-4 to identify teens and young adults who might need intervention to improve language proficiency; to determine areas of strengths and weaknesses, and to document progress. Six subtests measure various dimensions of language skills and may be administered to groups, or administered individually:

  • Spoken analogies
  • Word similarities
  • Sentence combining
