The BSS measures attitudes and behaviors that clinicians routinely consider when assessing a patient’s suicide risk.
Benefits
- Reveals specific suicidal characteristics that require greater clinical scrutiny.
- Can be administered with the BDI®-II and the BHS® for a more complete evaluation.
- Five screening items reduce the length and the intrusiveness of the questionnaire for patients who are nonsuicidal.
- Full scale consists of 21 test items.
Sample Reports
Concise Interpretive reports provide useful information such as the client's demographics, a graphical presentation of the client's raw score, a brief interpretation of the client's test score and a list of items endorsements. Progress reports help monitor a client's progress over time.
