WAIS 5 Canadian Edition | Data Collection Partner
Pearson Canada Assessment Inc., the nation’s largest publishing company of assessment materials, is developing an assessment tool entitled: Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale Fifth Edition -Canadian (WAIS 5-CDN). This tool measures cognitive ability based on recent research in the area of cognitive neuroscience and the theories and work of David Wechsler, PhD. It is designed to test individuals from ages 16 to 90. As part of the Canadian development process, we need to evaluate how it works within the Canadian population. To do this, we need people of various ages, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds from across Canada to take the assessment. For this data collection process, we rely on examiners to administer the test, participants to take the test, and data collection partners to help us access certain populations that are essential for the test to represent the Canadian population.
