School readiness is essential to the academic success of children in kindergarten and beyond. It is not only critical for children to be well prepared for school; it is equally important that educators know and understand the strengths and needs of the students they will be teaching. This one-hour webinar will describe the foundational knowledge and skills that young children should master in order to succeed in kindergarten. The presenter will discuss assessment of children’s knowledge of readiness concepts and how teachers can use assessment data to plan instruction.
