Robert K. Heaton
Dr. Heaton is a Professor of Psychiatry in the University of California, San Diego Department of Psychiatry. He is internationally known for his research on the neuropsychological (NP) effects of schizophrenia, as well as his work in several other areas including the neurobehavioral aspects of HIV-infection, and in the development of comprehensive demographically corrected norms for NP tests.
He serves as the Associate Editor for the Journal Assessment. He is co-editor of the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology, and serves on the editorial board of several other journals. Dr. Heaton has been responsible for the development of comprehensive norms for the Expanded Halstead-Reitan Neuropsychological Battery. He is currently the Principal Investigator for a NeuroAIDS study in China and works as a consultant on several other international projects.
