Elizabeth O. Lichtenberger, PhD

Elizabeth O. Lichtenberger, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist in California, an Adjunct Faculty member at Alliant International University in San Diego, and an author whose works have focused on psychological assessment. In addition to her current professional roles, she has worked as a researcher at the Laboratory for Cognitive Neuroscience at The Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, CA. Her work at The Salk Institute focused on the cognitive and neuropsychological patterns in children with genetic developmental disorders. Because of her expertise in psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological assessment, Liz also serves as a psychoeducational test/measurement consultant and trainer for organizations and provides consultation to individual psychologists.  

Liz is a published author of numerous books, book chapters, and articles on assessment and assessment instruments, including Assessing Adolescent and Adult Intelligence (2nd Ed), Essentials of Assessment Report Writing, Essentials of KABC-II Assessment, and Essentials of WIAT-II® and KTEA-II Assessment, and Essentials of Cognitive Assessment with KAIT and Other Kaufman Measures, Essentials of WAIS-III Assessment, Essentials of WMS-III Assessment, Essentials of WPPSI-III Assessment, and Essentials of WISC-III and WPPSI-R Assessment. In addition, Liz has served an editorial role for books and journals. For example, she served as a consulting editor of the second edition of the Encyclopedia of Special Education: A Reference for the Education of the Handicapped and Other Exceptional Children and Adults and is currently on the editorial board of the journal, Psychology in the Schools.
