Despite the great need for proper bilingual assessments, the truth is that there are simply not enough properly trained bilingual assessors to meet all the services needed. When a bilingual assessor is unavailable, some assessors seek out the help of bilingual interpreters. Asking a bilingual staff member down the hall is not enough. This presentation will look at how to properly prepare an interpreter in order to make sure that your assessment results are valid and reliable.
