Schools need a plan for dyslexia screening and reading evaluation in response to Texas HB 1886 and the 2018 newly revised Texas Dyslexia Handbook. This webinar will provide an overview of aimsweb+, a curriculum-based measure that fulfills the reading screening areas required in the 2018 Handbook. In addition, the Shaywitz DyslexiaScreen, integrated within aimewebPlus, is a valuable complement to the screening of reading with its ability to scientifically identify students at risk for dyslexia as early as Kindergarten, with no additional loss of instructional time. Two Texas school leaders will share their experiences with reading evaluation and dyslexia screening.
